Minoxidil 5 Plus+ is an Australian made alcohol-free Minoxidil 5% solution. Minoxidil is clinically proven to regrow hair in men with androgenic alopecia, also known as male pattern hair loss.

Minoxidil 5 Plus+ is distilled in fast drying reserves of Olevit™ to prevent the crystallisation of minoxidil. Key actives:

▪ How long can I expect to see results?
Reduced hair shedding can be expected to be seen after two months when used daily. Allow 3 months to see the best response.
You may see increased hair shedding when you first start using Minoxidil. This is normal. The reason you see an increase in hair shedding in the first two months is because these hair follicles are in the shedding phase (also known as the catagen phase) and would have fallen out eventually. Minoxidil kick starts this process and brings in more blood flow to supply the hair follicles with oxygen and nutrients.
▪ Is this suitable for both men and women?
It can be used in men and women. It is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
▪ What happens when I stop using Minoxidil?
Once you stop using Minoxidil, hair shedding is likely to resume within 2 months.
Some may be able to reduce to every second day dosing for maintenance without affecting their gains, but this can vary depending how fast your body clears the active metabolite.
▪ I have a bald patch, will Minoxidil regrow hair in this area?
Research shows it is difficult to achieve hair growth in scalp regions where the the stem cell bulb has remained dormant for a long time. We highly recommend combining Minoxidil with Finasteride or combining Minoxidil with micro-needling in balding areas to see appreciable results.

Phenoxyethanol sounds like a alcohol but it is an ether used globally in personal care products. Phenoxyethanol is considered as an antimicrobial agent in the Australian Pharmaceutical Formulary.

I was searching for alcohol-free minoxidil because my skin just doesn't like the alcohol, no matter how much I try. This was when I came across Medicii Laboratories. I had traction alopecia for many years and have always been conscious of it. My hair has grown back in this area. It works and you need to be very patient. My only issue is it is more expensive than some of the other products out there. By the time you add shampoo and other products to your hair routine, it all adds up very quickly.

Ethanol can cause skin dryness and repeated use over time, you may have spend more on skincare to fix the dry skin issue. Although this effect may not be immediate, it should be factored into future costs. I have been using minoxidil 5 plus caffeine from Medicii laboratory for awhile now. The hair shedding has stopped and the regrowth is not falling out like they used. The results are slow but I am not getting any adverse effects, which is important to me. I have tried minoxidil solutions purchased from eBay but they are not great. My skin felt tight and irritated after a month or so. I will be staying on this formula and may consider adding Finasteride if the results are not where I want them to be after another six months.
I have been using Minoxidil from Medicii Laboratories for over 4 months now and find it is very pleasing to use. I have been able to maintain my hair gain since switching over from Rogaine. It absorbs quickly and doesn't leave my scalp dry and irritated. My skin, especially the forehead no longer looks dry and tired. My hair also looks healthier and as if it has more natural volume. I highly recommend it.
I have been using this product since October 2023 and love it. My hair did shed at first which made me freak out a little but I persevered with it. Now, my ponytail is much thicker and my hairline appears fuller with no gaps. I was using the womens regaine and found it had caused my hair to become dry and no amount of hair mask could fix the issue so I stopped using regaine. Excellent service, and the texture of the formulation is very nice - much much better than generic stuff. No scalp irritation and leaves the hair nice. Too soon to report the effects as this is a long-term treatment.
